Annual Enrollment
Annual enrollment (also called open enrollment) is the designated period each year when employees can enroll in, change, or cancel their benefits selections — including health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans. Outside of this window, changes are typically only permitted following a qualifying life event. A PEO manages the annual enrollment process, provides employee communications and education, and ensures smooth transitions between plan years.
